What Kind of Power does the CX-30 Possess?
A couple of engine options are available for the 2023 Mazda CX-30, and each comes with a solid amount of horsepower and torque. Most trims will come standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that gets you up to 191 horsepower and an improved fuel economy of 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. This engine pairs with a smooth six-speed automatic transmission, and you also get a standard all-wheel-drive, which will help you tackle those slipper roads. Higher trims will get a 2.5-liter turbocharged which delivers an exceptional 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque, which also pairs with the six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive.
Advanced Features for the CX-30
There are several trim levels available for the 2023 Mazda CX-30, and no matter which one you go with, drivers will be treated to a slew of luxury, advanced tech, and performance items that you will be sure to love. We begin with the base 2.5 S trim, which comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and an 8.8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you want something more advanced with more comfort and convenience features, including keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, simulated leather upholstery, and tinted rear windows. The Preferred one-ups this with a sunroof, a power-adjustable driver's seat with memory functions, and heated front seats. Last year, the CX-30 introduced the Carbon Edition, and it returns for the 2023 model year with features such as 18-inch painted alloy wheels, special grey paint, heated side mirrors with black caps, and red leather seats. But wait, there is so much more to talk about! Higher trims get more performance items such as adaptive headlights, a power liftgate, roof rails, paddle shifters, leather upholstery, a head-up display, traffic sign reader, and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.
Outstanding Safety Items for the CX-30
What would a good SUV be without a bevy of safety features and the CX-30 has these in spades! Standard is a Forward Collision Mitigation system that will warn drivers of an impending collision and even engage the brakes if you fail to do so. Also standard is the Lane Keeping Assist system, which makes minor steering corrections that keep the CX-30 in the lane. Adaptive Cruise Control allows drivers to enter in a pre-set distance so you can stay comfortably behind the vehicle in front of you. Last but not least, there is a Drowsy Driver Detection system that will alert you if you become tired when behind the wheel. If you go with one of the higher trims of the CX-30, it will come with a surround-view camera system and traffic jam assist.
