There is a lot of power to be had with the 2023 Mazda CX-5, no matter which trim level you decide to go with. Most will see a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that pumps out 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the 2.5 Turbo and 2.5 Turbo Signature trims will see an increase in the horsepower and torque as the torque is increased to 310 lb-ft, with the horsepower increased to 227 when you run it on regular octane gas. If you decide to get 93 octane fuel, those numbers will leap to 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. All of these versions of the engine come standard with a smooth six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel-drive. We love all versions of this amazing engine!

Best of all, the Sport actually comes with a GT package which makes the base Sport one of the nicest base level trim around as it has a heated steering wheel, heated/ventilated front seats, heated outboard rear seats, and a head-up display.
